Keyless entry plugs?

When i first got my 98, i removed the stock radio, therefore disabling my keyless entry. I did this b/c i planned on getting a full on alarm... buuuut that never happened.

So, i am thiking of tracking down a cheap stock radio and hiding it behind the dash like many people do, to re-enable my keyless entry. I have two questions.

1) What does the plug look like that i would need to plug into the new-to-me stock unit?

2) How would i go about getting a remote that would work with the new HU? For some reason i still have one of my original keyfabs.. but i'm pretty sure it'd be useless with a different HU.

Is going with a stock HU just for keyless even going to be worth it given what i have described? Or should i just do it the aftermarket way?

Thanks in advance.

You can reprogram it. Search through the site and you should be able to find the directions I've posted up. The plug that plugs into both the new HU and the old radio is bought at a store.

you can get the retention harness from crutchfield for like 20 bucks, and if you can't figure out the remote just take it up to the stealership

There are two plugs that go into the back of the STOCK HU. A White one and a Green one. What does the Green one do? Does it have something to do with keyless?

theres a small button between the AM/FM button and I believe the CD button that you press to program, like Amy said look for her instructions
