Keyless Entry Questions 96 Civic Lx

hey guys its my first post here and don't think i didn't search for my question. ok so i bought a 96 lx a couple of days ago. the stereo was aftermarket. I have been reading about the keyless and the stock radio's connection as well as the dome light. my question is, can i just buy and install an aftermarket keyless/ security and bypass that whole mess? oh and is there a way to tell if you've ever had factory keyless.

Yes an aftermarket alarm fixes that whole mess, as long as the car had power windows

That is my next question. I read about it but don't really understand it. so my dome light doesn't work when the doors are open and the button on the dome light is set in the middle. so is that whole dome light thing not working due to the aftermarket stereo?
