My keyless remote transmitter on my 96 civic ex has a button for the trunk release but it doesn;t work. I have to hold the button down for a few seconds before the light blinks but the trunk does not open. Is there something I should be checking other then the transmitter?
Actuator would be the first thing to check. After that its the less common things like the module or fob. You can give the actuator 12 volts with a drill battery and see if it moves, then reverse the wires and see if it moves in the opposite.
