leak inside! driver side floor!

hey guys! im having a problem on my car its a 97 civic coupe... every time it rains, the driver floor is wet.. I have no idea what is the problem...

Check to see if there is any holes on the left side up under the dash. About where your hood release cable would go out of into the fender. On my 89 I had a big hole I think a plug popped out so I took a old rubber inner tube from my bike and cut to fit with some silicone to make it stick and seal it up.

underneath the carpet...the driverside built-in rubber mat...there's a hole about the size of like 2 oreos. the material they use should cover up the hole when teh carpet is in...
how low are you to the ground??
