Learning: first timer!

First post!
so i have been searching for quite a while and i was just wondering on... what do I really need in order for a good boost setup, for a d16y8. Maybe you can give me some links on good parts, on a budget!. Not in a rush to boost wrong. oh i was also wondering if ebay turbo kit IC + piping is good, cuz then that way all i have to worry about is the manifold and turbo plus electronics, while i can prepare and testfit the IC + all piping.
I am aiming for 10psi MAX, around 180 hp but not going over 200(but over is okay), DD.

Seems like you almost have a good general idea. Yes, you can use ebay IC and piping but probably nothing else. That turbo kit is a little too much though, if you're only going to use the intercooler and the pipes but that kit also has a name-brand turbo and WG, not sure about the BOV and manifold though cause those are important as well. Also, PSI number pretty much means nothing because it depends mainly on the turbo, 10 psi from a small turbo is a lot different than 10 psi coming from a big turbo. Seens like you have a good set goal for HP, the only thing you should "need" internally are the ARP headstuds and probably a new OEM headgasket, if the compression test shows good numbers.
