Led replacement in guage not good

I have an 01 EX sedan and bought some LEDs from autolumination, I got the tri-powered #74. I was not happy with the outcome, the illumination was not even. I replaced the original bulbs imediately. I was wondering if I bought colored incandescent bulbs if I would get better illumintation throughout my guages?

Nothing worng with the product I bought, they did not work as I had hoped, autolumination is a good place to shop.

Yes, incandescent bulbs will make your lighting look much more even.

I sent the led's back and got a bunch of incandescent lights. By monday I will have them installed in the dash, and have a picture posted.

WTF:lol: Mine are the exact opposite.

dim around fuel/temp gauge, 100-120 on the speedo, and top of tach.

bright around 5k to 8k on tach, 0-40 on speedo

I ordered some LED's from superbrightleds.com.... They worked out great. I couldn't find any size #24 bulbs so I just ordered 6 #74 bulbs.

Yours looks good. I'm pretty pissed off at this whole project. I replaced the LEDs with bulbs, the light is even but I can barely see the gauges. Plus I order 74s instead of 24s. I don't know what I am going to do next. Maybe this neon wire.

looks good.. IF you get tired of that.. or you want it lighter.. you can put the two top bulbs back to stock and the needles will be white lit again.. but the numbers stay blue.. easy to see contrast..

I wish I had a spare gauge cluster, I dont want to F up the one I need to drive with. I may check out some junkyards and see if I can dig one up, but I imagine it still may cost over $100.

It's the cluster, not the bulbs.

You just gotta' diffuse the LEDs light a little.

I want to illuminate the redline area of my tach in red LED but I haven' quite figured out how to isolate just that area yet.

so your saying if i oder bulbs and put them in mine itll be different?
Good chance.

It looks like your problem is where the lights are, not what kinds of lights they are.
