Legal Motor Swap??

Is there a website or does anyone know the guidelines that will allow you to have a different motor in your car?

I'm thinking about getting a motor in, but would like it to be legit and legal.

What about the motor itself. What kind of paperwork do you need for it to say that it isn't stolen and legal.

Has anybody gone through with it?

hahah that sucks. Here they don't care what you do. The engine could be 5 years older than the car, but they are so dumb they dont know the difference. If it has an engine at all it's good to go.

hard to get caught with this kinda stuff it seems, but if you were to do a motor swap id think youd have to carry some papers of some sort claiming you bought the engine and whatever. i dont knoe about what kind of engines you can get. but its not everyday however that cops will pull you over cause they think you have a diff engine in yer car

Its actually really easy to get caught unfortunately. The smog nazis AND cops have pics of what your engine should look like, if anything doesnt match they get pissed. If I lived in california and wanted to do car mods as a hobby, I would move the fuk out, no joke.

with the people i know that have motor swaps yes it must be same year or newer year of than the car, and cant be jdm...other than that i think its coo...

once the motor it out, not its not at all... take the tourqu converter off, replace it with the fly wheels and mate the tranny to it
