hey what's up guys i have a problem i have a 92 hatchback civic, my problem is sometimes when i turn on my lights the the dash won't light up i have to wait for a couple minutes to turn on or sometimes i hit the dashboard and it would work, and if the dash won't light up the back lights or brake lights won't lit up to. anybody here encounter this situation. :???:

Hey you might want to check your connections at the light switch.There is two connectors there.If it still does it replace the switch.I had a similar prob where my lights would not cut off and a small piece of plastic inside my switch had broken off. They can play tricks on you. ;)

Yeah, alot of times, it's the connection. My corners were acting up like that and it turned out that the bulb had dirty prongs and the contact wasn't being made very well...

haha just in time, i was just ripping apart my whole dash and my steering column to first install a gsr dash and i bought a new key ignition to install included with a brand new key to go with it. Anyways, if you remove the plastic that covers the ugly wireing behind the sterring wheel, you should see 4 or 5 electric wires all hooked up to the steering column. Go though each of em and try turning on the lights on and off and find out which one. Then find that wire that is the dash light and re-solder it with a soldering kit.
