Lighten the flywheel - grind or new and thermal

I might need to change my clutch soon, so while they're in there, I was thinking about getting a lighter flywheel to help with acceleration. I want to help with the acceleration, but I don't want it so light that the engine redlines at the tap of the gas. Also, I'm concerned about heat dissipation. This is for a daily driver.

Any recommends and experiences?

since your changing the clutch, if you got some extra money. get a light weight fly wheel also. what mods do you have? if you dont got too many mods and your doing a lot of daily driving, i suggest a act streetlite flywheel. it weighs 12.5 pounds, it is lighter then stock but not too light like the racing ones that are about 8 pounds. i have a 12 pound flywheel and i really like it, little better accleration and better pickup. my friends has a 8 pound flywheel, its coo to drive but i wouldnt like to drive it everyday. you have to rev up high then normal just to get off first gear.

Thanks... that's exactly what I was thinking about. I need a street driver. I don't have many mods at all, just CAI and exhaust. I'll check out the Act Streetlite flywheel. Any links where to get one?

BTW, what is the stock flywheel weight?

i was deciding between the streetlite and prolite when i got my new clutch and flywheel, i ended up going with the 8.4 lb prolite, and i love it. its not that much harder to drive everyday, my car is a daily driver. just CAI and exhaust as well. once you get used to the higher initial revs its all good, drives just about the same as stock, and i think stock flywheels are like 17 lbs? someone help me out here.
