well like the title said..whenever i step on the brake the entire lighting dim a bit..u can tell that it's dim..but only when i step on the brake though..i've added a custom ground kit that i made..4 gauge wire..batt to chassis..vavle cover to chassis..battery to intake mani..then finally 12v+ to alternator..

i also have a very tiny system..8in sub power by a 150watts 2 channel apm..power by an 8 gauge amp kit..so that shouldn't make the light goes dim..

any suggestion..??

i dont think grounding the intake in needed. check your battery output? maybe take the intake ground off, check the brakes and see if the lights dim. but dont quote me on this. ive never had this problem or came acrossed it

^^i'll try that later and see if it still does it tonight.. i've looked around for ground kit and where to connect on here and other honda site and some of them had it on the intake mani if not all..that's y i did it, from people's instruction..

i just pop the hood about 10mins ago and see that the positive terminal got a lil corrosion on it..what cost corrosion on the battery anyway??

maybe its normal? i know on the older honda you have 5 brake lights coming on when you press the pedal. thats 21wx5=105watt total, like turning your headlights on/off. but try cleaning the corrosion with some sandpaper and put some dielectric grease on them to protect the metal longer.

i've replaced a new ground wire terminal and new copper terminal for the positive side also..i took the ground kit off and it's still doing it..so i don't know..i don't think it's normal because i didn't notice this when i got the car..well when i got the car the driver side headlight were very very dim when turned on and the blinker blink really fast..i check the ground point for the driver side and moved it to a different location and it's been normal since..but lately i notice this..so i odn't know..

Maybe your alternator is going.
that was my initial thought

have an autoshop check your alternator output

that still happens to me and i've got a new alt and batt. my guess is that with headlights on, and especially with fogs on, the electrical system just cant crank out enough juice at idle to keep the system at 14 volts when you step on the brake, because of all the extra lights that the brakes turn on

^^well if that's the norm then i can't do anything about it..i'll see if i can upgrade to better battery in the future and see if that work..i have fog and under dash neon also, i know gay but so what..it's my car..other then that..nothing electrical, well a mini amp and sub system..8in sub power by 150w amp on 8g wire..nothing big where it'll draw too much current..
