Lights Dimming Problem, Replace Battery?

Hey guys, I have:

2005 Civic SI (canadian model, non-hatchback)
2 Kaption SPL-1200 subs
Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 amplifier
Phoenix Gold 1 Farad Capacitor

I have a huge problem with my lights dimming. Rather than replacing my alternator, do you think replacing my battery would help? Perhaps that Optima yellow top that everyone talks about? Thanks!

nope you have a 60 amp alternator, you have an amp capable of consuming 120 amps, do the math

I had it installed professionally and the way they did it is, there are two separate wires connected to the battery positive which each have an 80 amp fuse on them, they then are saudered into one wire and run to the amp...do u guys think this is good?

Approximately how much would it cost me to change my alternator to a 120 or 160 amp alternator? Is there anything else I would have to change if I do that?

And what does an ELD do?

Thanks guys!

Just a guess, but guess's electronic load, lol, not really sure though, but it's a common complaint we see at the dealership about dimming lights, which is somehow related to the ELD, not saying that is his problem, but it's a really cheap fix, something around $10.00 for the ELD.
