I really wasnt sure where to put this but I need some help, I have a 92 4door Accord and the Lock Cylinder is starting to get stuck, meaning when I put the key into the metal cylinder in the door handle it wont turn left or right. After a couple tries it will finally turn and open. The passenger door is even worse. The car has power locks which all work fine. My only question is if its possible to add a KEYLESS ENTRY system to bypass the cylinder lock problem. At this point I have no clue if its the actual lock cylinder or maybe the rods. any help would be appreciated

Lock cylinders seem to lock up after a period of time I have noticed.... the little teeth that go in the cyl. start rusting up inside of the housing and it takes a bit to let them tumble down in. One little thing you could do is to take off the trim panel, then disconnect the rod from the cyl to the latch ( not hard to do at all, I most faith that you can handle it) then try turning your cyl... if you can turn it left and right then your latch is mesed up, if you still cant turn your cyl with the rods off... then you need a new cyl.... cant be too much, probably 10 bucks, plus a little coding fee from the dealer... of course you could hose it down with wd40 and stuff, but it will still probably come back... geting new ones is your best move

They can code the cyl to your current keys so you dont have to get different ones

Thanks for all the help. I guess first thing I will do is see if its the actual cylinder or the latch like you mentioned above. I was only worried and looking for a quick solution cus I use this car everyday for work and i didnt wanna get locked out one morning. I've already got prices, 60 bucks a piece (OEM) from honda and salvage yards wont sell they cylinder if the door is still good
