my front left speakers didnt work when i got my car, so the other day i devoted a whole afternoon to fix the problem. after i tracked down the broken wire, which was in the pigtail that was in the door jam. i fixed that, but then found the stock radio duct tapped to the underside of my dash. wtf?? so i figure that its for the stock alarm, which i never knew existed in my car. the problem iam having now is that whenever my deck is turned on, my door locks twitch. when my deck is turned off, they are fine. i have no idea what the problem is.... any ideas?

what happened is that the wires probably are loose. or the wire that was not connected was the power to the factory alarm, and now it is just there for the relay that is for the alarm. for things like these you have to see to fix. bring it into circuit city or something, but first troubleshoot, and find out which wires are to which.
i have the same thing, and i had to keep the factory alarm.
isnt it a pain in the ass?

edit.. the factory head unit is for the keyless entry, so when you press unlock on the remote, the doors unlock, so mabey it is messing with the factory head unit

i think the stock radio ALSO controls the dome light... why dont you get the stock head unit out (to start) and see if it still does it..

^ what he said. also, make sure the stock radio is turned OFF, and I would also check in the door jam for a skinned wire relating to your door locks. Hondas have - pulse door locks, so if the wire is rubbing against metal slightly, that could be causing your problem as well. the wires you need to check are green with white, and green with orange

the stock radio doesnt have anything to do with the domelight really, just domelight supervision for keyless entry. the domelight will work fine without it. personally, I would pick up a cheap aftermarket keyless entry (better range anyway) and do it yourself. you are only going to have 6 wires to connect, so its not that difficult.

it sounds to me like you put the wrong wire together, or POSSIBLY the lock wire and one of your speaker wires is touching in the boot. I would disconnect the front 2 speakers from your harness in the dash, and then see if your problem isnt taken care of....
