alright well most of you know what i'm running right now, but for those who dont this is what i have

Alpine CDA-9847 head unit
2 10" kicker comp subwoofers
kenwood KAC-7202 amplifier
Custom built MDF false floor ported enclosure. carpeted black.

but lately ive been thinking about a change, i dont really listen to music with that much bass so im starting to want to sell my entire system and switch to Infinity Reference 6", 6"x9", and 1" tweeters all around with an Amber Civic Si head unit because (call me crazy) but i like the look of the stock stereos better than my alpine headunit which seems so out of place in my dash, so what do you guys think? im sure this will give me better sound quality than i am getting right now with my stock speakers. ahh yes, and what amp would i need (if any) to power these speakers. thanks

changin the speakers is definitely an upgrade and will sound a lot better, but i dont know about gettin rid of the headunit. for the price you paid, that is not a bad radio, and will definitely s**t on ur stockie radio. and u get better EQ and lil s**t like mp3 playback and ai-net connection for the ipod n s**t. but definitely get speakers.

Keep the /////Alpine. Get the Infinitys. Preferably get the Infinity Kappas instead of Reference. Get a badass /////Alpine or Infinity amp to run it all. My mom's Mini has the Kappas, everyone I show it too swears up and down there is a 10 somewhere in the car.

And I am in the same boat. My subs, their boxes, and the cap all weigh about 200lbs. Not really what you want over the back wheels in a car with 1.6 litres of fury.

f**k, im havin a real hard time sellin my s**t. :(

i would go with the kappas but their too expensive, i would like to be able to at least come out even with selling my current setup and buying the new one without any extra cash from my pocket.

I second the motion for the Infinity... I am running two Infinity Amps, A Kappa Perfect 12" and just waiting for the right time to do the fibergllass. Alpine deck, but I need a new one. And a second gel-cell battery in the back. If you were in WA I could help you get rid of your stuff pretty quick. By the way, how do you start a thread? You have a good set up, it just depends on what you want as far as sound and quality.
