I like the Optima batteries except for the price. Continental and Interstate are okay. Autozone's yellow top Duralast batteries are acceptable. Avoid that red top or valueccrap line they sell.

WalMart batteries are crap too. We call them NEverStarts.

I have issues with O'Reilly's SuperStart line too.

I got a DT (dual terminal) battery for our Eclipse because O'Reilly didn't stock group 86 batteries. It failed in a year. I took it back and they made me wait 4 hours while they determined it to be bad. (they could have determined that in 30 seconds if they had used their capacitive tester BUT NO!) Then, the night manager at O'Reilly 680 says he can't find my sales information in the computer. "I'm not asking for my money back...just exchange it." Nope, he won't do it. So I drive the rest of the way home, find the receipt, bring it back and try again.
"uhhhh you are an employee?"
"Was, I was manager, before that I was an assistant manager for the guy that is your boss now."
"uhhh, oh uhhh this receipt is no good."
"What do you mean it's no good? I don't want a refund. I want a new battery."
"uhhhhh, it's no good anymore since you quit."

Long story short, I had to go buy a new battery from UhOhZone and call the District Manager the next day to get a refund.

The most important thing to remember is that only wealthy people can afford cheap batteries.

How the hell can a recipt be no good because you quit. It's proof of purchase, not proof of employment. It sounds like you dealt with some morons.

Yep! idiots. and to top it off their SuperStart top o' the line battery died in almost exactly 12 months. Idiots who sell a POS and won't warranty it. Notice that I'm NOT endorsing their crap.

The Yellow top Duralast is still good after 9months...1year this March. Probably go tits up as soon as the free replacement period ends.
