I don't recall there being a pocket that replaced the radio on the 6th gen Civics, it was just a blank plastic plate. The plates are everywhere. The pocket shown goes under the radio in a 99-00 bezel. Those you can find everywhere, they are all over eBay, etc. The stock radio had 0 options really, so the pocket could be swapped out for an optional Honda CD changer. If you're look for space, I'd get the lower cup holder with the large cubby and if you hate your radio, get the block off plate.

Really you only had the option on the 96-98 for the little pocket to the right of the stereo, which could be swapped out for a clock which is mostly found on the foreign models.

The parts department at a Honda dealer should be able to help you. Have you tried there? It's what they get paid to do.

#9 on that chart looks to be the lower pocket din by the cup holders. Just buy a universal din pocket or modify one form another car to make it fit well. That should be an easy project.

That has it's own category with all of the part combinations shown under "Console"

I did a search for 97 3DR CX Auto Radio and got this (looks like OP's pic)
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=CIVIC&catcgry2=1997&catcgry3=3DR+CX&catcgry4=KA5MT&catcgry5=AUTO+RADIO

Searching my car, 2000 2DR EX, AND 1997 2DR EX, I get this:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=CIVIC&catcgry2=2000&catcgry3=2DR+EX&catcgry4=KA5MT&catcgry5=AUTO+RADIO

I'm not sure what the pocket is for here, I know the 96-98 only has a single din setup.

The only part number listed in OPs picture matches the same part number referenced in mine, are the pockets the same, dunno. for sure. They LOOK the same according to the picture, but that may mean nothing.

1997 3DR CX (used to find what looks like OP's picture) has this for the console (lower din storage)

Holy poop! Work has been extra crazy/busy lately but I was able to get a parts guy on the phone yesterday. $35 for the pocket and it'll be there Monday or Tuesday at the latest. I'm hoping that this is what I've been so anxiously waiting for!

Hope so too. Like I said, I wasn't 100% sure that was the exact part, but I was just going by references for you to use your judgement. Hopefully you and the parts guy got the right part ordered. Let us know how it goes, I'd be interested to see a pocket in place of the radio or a block off plate.

So the guy never called Mon/Tues. I'll call and harass him today. Hope fully it's in and I will definitely keep you in the loop!
