I've got a d16z6 canner jammer in my eg an Ive got big plans for a build, I've got probably about 4800 I want to invest and I've come across a vitara build I'm interested in if like to run pump gas n/a any advice on cr, I'm hoping to make about 200. I've got a list of parts I'm already after but insure of a few things. My exhaust I can only find a exhaust mani through Megan racing and not sure if it's sufficient I'd be running an apexi ws2. Going to list my parts soon and take advice this is a start.

Someone who knows what they are doing can build a 10sec d series with 4800 bucks. You are not on that path. Research build threads, over and over. Hell with 4800 bucks and the civic on top you can probably get a nice clean GSR Integra.

He isn't going to do that with a n/a d series either unless his name starts with B and ends with isimoto.

I don't think Bisimoto even did that with a D. I know he built that monster single cam but that was a F series

200whp first thing, I don't want anything higher than that really I just want a little single jingle, I've got a list and everything I need, point of this was to keep the cr 11.5 or less I want pump gas, I'm looking for ideas, I'm running several oem as well as aftermarket. I've got to good setups, but I'm not on par with vitara builds I've read several posts but most just bullshit I don't hardly get the specifics I want. I was going to add my list and get advice.

I do

in don't want a gsr, I like what I have. And I'm going to stay with the same motor to most people trash them because they are single cams I don't want to be like everyone else slap a b18c5 or k20s ect. An compared to swapping I'd be spending just as much in my opinion but I get everything I want

I've got 2 setups basically the same but different bottoms ends,
1st is
Eagle h beams with p29s an oem rings and wrist pins
2nd is skunk2 alpha rods and vitara piston kit with rings & wrist pins

The rest as follows

Plastigauged oem bearings
Crank Balanced at 10,000 Rpms
Crower stage 3 cams with true time aem adjustable cam gear
Skunk2 Ti alpha series valve springs and retainers
Port and polished
Greddy 2mm head gasket
3 angle
Arp rod bolts
ATP head studs
Aem v2 dual chamber cold air
Skunk2 pro series intake port matched
66mm skunk2 throttle body port matched
Apexi ws2 2.36in exhaust to 4in tip
Megan racing header 4-2-1 header 2 piece
Megan test pipe
Ngk plugs and wires
Obdo-obd1 conversion
Accel 255cc fuel injectors balanced and flowed
Walbro 255 Lpg
Msd street fire ignition with rev limiter
Aem high flow fuel rail
Aem fpr
Aem standalone
Oem valves btw
Act clutch
Skunk2 short throw
Fiberglass corners
Carbon fiber hood
Gutted trunk
Battery relocation rear
Eibach lowering kit with sways lcas and stablizers
Front strut tie
Mishimoto racing raidiator 3
Few odds an ends I'm forgetting

Looking for doable changes, soaked up 4200
Suggestions are welcome Thanks guys

So you're torn between high compression pistons and EXTREMELY low compression pistons?

Why not run the stock HG thinkness and keep the CR in the 12.0:1 range instead of one that is 43 thousandths thicker?

The first bottom end setup I would be impressed if it made 170whp.

Supposed to make between 150-170 I want to make 200whp and keep it pump idk where to start, the vitara rod length 138mm would make cr 9.5 verses standard length 7.5

You don't understand, the ONLY other 200+ d series Ive seen was on race fuel with DOUBLE the compression, revving to 10k with WAY bigger cam.

I think I understand, a goal and an achievement is 2 different that's my goal wether I make it or not is a question and with some extreme tuning hours I think it would be possible with a new crank, which would set my build 2k further invested, my compression could actually with the first setup run me about 11.5-12.5 cr there is a fine line between the two but I see potential and possibilities. Point is a goal is a goal wether I make 170 or 200whp I'm going to be happy with the build. I'm still debating I have a buddy with a b18c5 toda built bottom end 262 cams and itbs already 220 at the wheels for 2500

No....that answers the question. The skunk2 and vitara bottom end is the better of the two that you have in mind. You're going to need a very aggressive build to get anything decent out of this.

and if you have a buddy with a $2500 dollar 220whp setup available, that would be a better purchase in my opinion than this built D series. I understand being different....but it is being different that you're actually after, or performance? Being different wouldn't require such a large investment and low output single slammer

It's alittle of both tbh but I can do that with the b18 as well, it's alittle bit more cheaper and hosts more power than the d16 I would have just about doubled building it, the b18 I can charge It instead of boosting and be different, something about trying to push power out of a small motor interests me. But I do want to be conservative, I can easily buy a shell and flip it with the d16 and make money. Anyways, I haven't quite gotten the specs on the b18 I'm waiting and the will boast my final decision, all I know is what I was told, idk if it needs work or anything in general I know it's the full swap with 5 lug conversion and aem standalone with obd1 harness and has toda built bottem, 262 cams, itbs, and only 40,000 miles not to mention it's got a story the car was listed as a grey mark type r from japan, apparently he swapped the motor before the police got ahold of the car and crushed it. So we will see how it plays out but if that's the scenario id like some more odds and end suggestions on the b18c5 personally don't wanna mess with itbs. So I'll be throwing those out.

You're in Cincy, why not go talk to Rob Morse at TPR or Dave Blundell at Zerolift and see what they think? Make sure to tell them you have 4800 cash money.
