loose car battery

I finally got my dx from my godfather and my uncle tells me that the connection to the battery is loose so I have to jump it first in order to start it. Can anyone direct me to a video on how to tighten it or somehow show me how to do this? I would really appreciate the help =\ I don't know much about cars

First off, posted in the wrong section.

Secondly, I sure hope u know where ur battery is...

Pop ur hood and locate ur battery. Find the positive(red) cable and wiggle it. If it is loose then tighten it. If the black(negative) is loose when wiggled, then tighten it.

If its not loose there and ur having to jump the car everytime, then its possible it could be a bigger problem than just cables.

Could be a starter or alternator issue. Also could have worn out connections or corroded cables or terminals.

Basically just don't touch the positive and negatve terminals together while u r tightening and u should be golden!
