lOOSE WIRING CAUSING INTERMITTNET STALLING / NOSTART

I just bought this 1990 civic hatch off a buddy cuz its a great little car , whgen i bought it he showed me that sometimes the lights on the dash/tailights/lrear license plate will go out, the solution he showed me for this was to reach my hand under the dash and jiggle some wires until the lights on the dash popped back on meaning the tailights etc were also working. in my many jiggles i seem to have jiggled a wire loose that controls ignition because now and then the car will die, will crank but will not start (no spark, i checked the plugs and there is plenty of fuel pressure when i loosen the fuel filter inlet a bit) ,so it cranks and cranks until i stick my fingers under the dash and fiddle the wires, i have tried the reverse of this ie. car running then fiddle with the wires until one little touch causes it to die and not start again until i fiddle with the wires again. i can't friggin handle driving around like this anymore, but have tried to find the culprit wire with no luck, before i start ttearing into the wiring and fusebox i was hoping someone here may have a helpfull tip on which wire colors to start with or something like that

p.s. i have replaced the main relay for good measure and hear all my clicks and humms upon turning the key

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanx in advance

Did it fix the taillight problem?

A Blk/Yel wire runs from the ignition switch, to the dash fuse box, to the ignition coil inside the distributor. Check that wire.

thanks!

traced the wire and found a loose wiring harness connection on the back of the fuse box, somehow connection just isn't tight, will address tomorrow with more daylight and dilectric grease!
