so i have a 91 civic hatchback the other day i did a hard launch and heard a POP and i thaught it was a motor mount becuz it is moveing more than it used to not too much but more i can feel it in the shifter as well

then somebody noticed my wheel moveing back and forth one day when i was leaving my buds house so i had him get in the car and roll back and do a couple quick takeoffs and both my front wheels are moveing back and forth just a little

i assume this is some sort of bushing but wich ones what are they called and were are they at

thanx for the help guys

Wheel bearing if it's making a droning noise and gets worse as speed increases. Or it can be your lower control arm bushings. Or it can even be a ball joint.

like toward the front bumber and back just barely both tires are doing it
RADIUS ARMS....

wheel bearing... HA.

from standing outside the car... and you look at it on a take off... you cannot see if a wheel bearing is bad. and wheel bearings dont go bad... just out of the blue.

if you are saying that the entire wheel moves towards the fromt bumper and it will move towards the door... then the radius arm has come away from the crossmember..or has come unbolted from the lower control arm.

the radius arm controls the caster and also helps against the moving just like you say it is..

get ron to pull up the pages on the radius arm.. and if you take the wheel off and look at them.. im sure you will find your problem.

well you need to make sure its actually the radius arm bushings... its uncommon for both to go at the same time.. so it may be something else. i would jack it up and take a look...

and i have never done a radius arm becasue of its uncommon breakage... so.. i cant tell you how hard it is.. sorry
