you dont need an ic. it would be nice because it cools the air but it is not needed.

If you don't have enough money for a turbo and and intercooler don't boost, you'll need a turbo, fuel managment, manifold, wastegate (unless it's internal), boost piping, downpipe...theres more to it than just a turbo and a intercooler, which no, you don't technically need, but personally I'd never boost a car without one. Even for 6 pounds I'd still use one.

This guy put it best. I mean, its never a bad idea to keep things cooler so save up that extra bit and pick up a smaller one off of ebay.

If you boost without an IC, your gas milage will go down and hp/trq potential will be less also.

well , to answer the original question , YES you can run turbo with no intercooler , just low boost . theres companies out there that sells bolt-on turbo kits without intercoolers.

you CANNOT boost a honda without a intercooler it going BOOOOM very quickly. The c/r is too high unless ti is a built block. Honestly, HOW would you shove 300* air down a car with 10:1 compression without it pinging itself to death with any reasonable amount of boost.

Only the good hondas have that compression

s**t, i guess if you want to be technical all you REALLY need to turbo a car is
1. Turbo
2. Turbo Manifold
3. Pipes to connect air to Intake Manifold

... not that it'll last a single pull
