Low cost good quality Stereo setup

I'm thinking of going with the following in my 99 Civic. Since I have Boston Acoustics Pros in my other car, I figured I'd try BA lower end components. Only thing is I've never heard them

Componets: Boston Acoustics FS60
Sub: 10" Elemental Designs 11Kv.2
Rear fill: Pioneer Rev TS-D690R
Amps: Phoenix Gold Octane 2x75 RMS for components
Phoenix Gold Octane mono amp running at 300x1 RMS at 2ohms

I would have gone with BA rears, but I already have the pionner revs in there and figured it's just rear fill.
I figured this setup would not break the bank and sound pretty good. Any opinions?

I agree, don't worry about rear fill, i guess you'll be running them off the headunit, that's my plan too. I'd be interested to hear about the ED sub, there seems to be a split, some are saying they are the best deal on the net, others knock their quality control. Either way good luck with ED.

What are your plans for the components? Stock locations?

Yeah I plan on running the rears off the Panasonic head unit. I'll most likely sell the Panasonic HU and get an Alpine 9833. The components are going in the stock locations. After getting spoiled by the system in my other vehicle, I can no longer stand the lack of bass and highs in the civic.

crutchfield is one of the most expensive places to possibly buy electronics from.

I would recommend Infinity components, even the reference series of speakers are amazing for the price. I used to use rockfords, and since I put Infinitys in my car a few years back I have never changed brands.

Also, if you are looking for a low price, once you find a product you want. Type the brand and product number into www.froogle.com or look for a reputable ebay seller. There are tons of online ebay stores that specialize in car audio.
