I would not risk it. And damn 1300 is alot to get a block sleeved...well that is if you dont disassemble the block yourself i guess it could get expensive. i can get them pressed in for $40 on the hook up of course.slowhatch said:if you put in some lower c/r pistons, to about ~8.5 or so, could i run more boost and get the more power without having to sleeve my motor? or even if a blockgaurd would help it? im trying to find a way around have to spend 1300$ for sleeves![]()
well 1300$ plus the cost of the sleeves im guessing sleeving itself would be around 100-150$FRODO said:I would not risk it. i thought you would crack a block at 1bar with a t3/t04e? and a well built head would include like springs retainers camshaft and cam gears?handlebarsfsr said:if your goal is less than 450 or so whp, dont sleeve, its not worth it. a good set of pistons and rods, a well built head, a good turbo setup, and most importantly, a good tune will avoid sleeving.
with a crappy tune, you can crack a sleeve at 5psi. with a good tune, people have boosted above 500 whp.slowhatch said:i thought you would crack a block at 1bar with a t3/t04e? and a well built head would include like springs retainers camshaft and cam gears?
