Lower Cluster Milage

I boght a cluster, i want to drop the milage to match mine...

ive heard some ppl can do it...

do i have to swap the couter out?...

or can i go in there and work it out...

i work on small electronics every once a while... but ive never messed with an cluster...

It's very illegal. Don't do it. Just write down how many miles on the previous cluster and then write the mileage on the cluster (before you drive) you have now and keep track that way.

its super easy to roll it back, theres a big wheel/gear lookin thing on the side, just spin it till it matches yours. but if its a big difference might want do it while watching a movie or something, cuz 1 full revolution equals about 1/10 mile and its a tight space to get your fingers in, so it will take a while :lol:

why is itlegal if your swapping another cluster and want your orginal milage? i did it to my 4th gens, just swapped the counter.

its cuz i bought an si cluster, and i want to throw it in my dx... so i can swap the counter on the si for the dx...?..
