i've heard that sometimes manual cars that are slammed that low, the transmission will actually drag the ground.. but i don't think it should be like that..

no i dunt think its parts being dragged..well maybe,...but the noise isnt ragged like somethin being dragged..the noise is like a deep toned noise thats smooth...but its not normal...maybe the tired draggin againts the fenders? i dunno..but the noise its all around the car..kinda like humming in your ear constantly

maybe it's something with your exhaust then.. is your exhaust sound a lot louder? i had a friend with an s10 tha his exhaust came off from his exhaust mani.. it still hung, but it wasn't connected.. check and make sure everything it hooked up good w/your exhaust

Yes, it does sounds like it has something to do with your exhaust system. Take a peek under the car and look.

1 inch off the ground? I'd say that's ridiculous. You would be sweeping road kills of the roads.

most likely your exhaust, it may have a leak in the flange gaskets, try tightening the bolts if that doesnt help - new gaskets, the reason why you hear it more is because the exhaust is closer to a closed space (ground) thus more sound to travel/deflect off the ground. think of it, the less space in between the underbody of your car and ground, sound is being amplified.

maybe you're just rubbing then when you get to a certain speed the car levels out so the rubbing is gone, just an idea

you think maybe you could have hit the exhaust on something? i know mine got hole knocked in it and it sounded like what your describing. i took it to the dealership i work at raised it on the lift and pulled the exhaust off. thats when i saw the hole. its deffinately something id look into judging from how low you say your car sits, and it doesnt take long at all to remove and install you exhaust.
