I am really confused:shock: about the whole rim and lowering setting on my car. People tell me that if i lower the car i have to get a damper adjustment kit. Is that really needed or is there something else i can do?
Im trying to get 17" wheels and low pro's but i know that will pick my car an inch. I want to atleast drop the whole car and get an aggresive look. I know what type of rims i want its just the whole damper or camber adjust is confusing.
Please Help Me:cry:

put the 17's on your ride and then just get coils.

it depends on your drop, with 17's you wont need to drop that much. im not sure if your going to need a damper kit. you may need a camber kit to correct your camber.

ok... thats cool so if i get coil overs i dont need the damper just a camber kit.... it makes sense to a point. so the damper will help into not wasting my tires?

Well i was thinking about getting a coil-over kit for my civic it runs like $800 for the whole set. It comes with a camber kit and what ever i need to lower the car. But i really dont know where to start? It is still confusing.....

Actually, call around to some tire shops, now a days there are places doing alignments with shims, so you wont need to buy a camber kit for the front or rear... Just call around and asked if they can do an alignment on a lowered car, and ask about the shim adjustments...

What are you planning on doing with this suspension change? Looks, auto-x, other? Asking because, coil-overs are a little much just for a daily driver that is going for looks! I have Neuspeed sports with KYB GR2's on my 99 coupe, they ride really nice for almost 2" drop. Hope I helped.

yea i agree... coil overs arent good for daily driving... i have them, and if you wreck of anything happens, you could strip the coil, you have to be careful with coil overs... go with some nice springs...
