I am a new member of ClubCivic... I have 2 questions for you guys....

1) Wich one is this model from the picture ? I have been searching in the internet, but everyplace is a different name, I need an International name for this model, since this is my cars Model....

I got some 18" Status Fang wheels, the problem is that after I instaled it, it was not so nice as I tought because I got some huge space between the wheel and the car body... :(

So I need to lower my car now... My second question is...

Considering I dont wanna be the lowest possible, I just want my car to look cool, in fact, The streets where I live have a lot of irregulaties, so its better not to lower so much, and considering that I wanna have the best quality possible, wich ones could be a nice lowering kit to buy ? I mean, I dont wanna lose so much comfort but I dont want to have this big space between the car and the wheel, I beleave that having 2 or 2,5 fingers space is a nice choice....

Please put some ideas , thank you very much... My car is the same model as the picture...

What model? It's a Civic. Says so right in the picture. Dx. 2004-5 looks like.

If you want exact ride height, get coilovers. Springs are one and done and if you're happy, tough.

Lastly, lose the 18" wheels man. Seriously. Do it.

Lol, I know its Civic.... In my country is just LXL Civic Sedan...

Other places call other names... 7th gen civic, some places call JDM, some places call Civic ES, and some call Civic Dx... So I need to know exactly how its called to buy the coilovers in the web....

Ok coilovers, anybody knows a good brand ?

Well the picture you posted is a 7th gen civic, DX. 7th gen means exactly that. It's the 7th version of the Civic made from Honda. Call it what you want, it's all the same thing. And you can see the DX right there in the pic. JDM is from Japan and NOBODY would call what you posted JDM unless they're smoking something. ES? You mean EX? Clearly not an EX (if that's what you meant).

Search for coilovers. They've been talked about a brazillion times. (see what I did there? LOL)

If youre very particular about having adjustable ride height, you should consider coilovers. But keep in mind that any coilover set less than $1500 brand new will not give you quality ride feel. It will ride a bit rough and/or spongy. Realistically, any respectable coilover set costs at least $2000. Furthermore, coilovers arent worth it unless you intend to spend a large amount of money in improving overall performance. I suggest you go through the forum & research various shock/spring set-ups for your generation Civic to get a feel for a quality brand combination that suits your needs which may cost you no more than $1000 and give you a great ride feel. Personally, you cant go wrong with Koni shocks. They offer adjustable & non-adjustable options at respectable prices.
