I am very new to the world of civics and I plan on lowering my car within a month or so. I have searched I didn't find anything on the topic

My intentions was to go with kyb struts/shocks and coilover sleeves but the thoughts of the coilover sleeves is changing quickly. Reason being that It would be a harsher ride with the coilovers then it would be with the springs and I have been hearing such good things about the tein springs that I was planing on going with those, i also plan on going with 17's . I want to barely be under the wheel wells after the lowering is done. Which springs would have me at my desired height?or should I just go with the coilovers and get the drop that I want? Oh and no I can not afford true coilovers so that's not an option.....

Thanks fellers

I heard something about using prelude race springs. Cutting them to fit then using koni white or kyb agx's... has anyone done a setup liek this? I have a 94 hastch and want to finda cheap way to lower it while staying relativly comfertable.

You should do the opposite! Raise your car, 10 feet minimum.

wait, so you can afford 17's, which for a full set starts at about a grand minimum, but your gonna cheap out on springs? to get coilovers and springs, and not get absoulte garbage, your lookin at spending 600 bucks or more. theres a group buy on teins right now, which are true coilovers, for like 625 or so for the basics and around 800 for the ss's. the ride depends on spring rate, and hwo much its dropped, not whether its adjustable or not. and if you have the rims tucked under the wheel wells, thats a good 3" drop, so your ride is gonna suck. if you go that low, you also need a camber kit so you dont wear out your tires.

Well thanks for the reply man but I know I'm not looking for a 3" drop that's way 2 much. My car is a daily driver. Well I looked into the teins and I think I'm going with those

How much of a drop did u get with the eibachs and the did u go with the sportlines? How would you compare your ride to stock?

17 inch rims are at there cheapest I can get 17's for $500. Being that I'm not going racing anytime soon I don't need volks. I just want the best ride for the least amount of money.

I had the dropzone coilovers with kyb's on my ford probe and that thing rode very very harsh. Most likely this time around I will leave dropzones alone.

i was thinkn bout gettin skunk2 coilovers on tokiciko shocks, or juss get the tokico setup but that only drops like 1.5" front and back, with the skunk2 i could lower up to like 4 inches with jus a allen wrench....

I have dropzone springs with stock struts. Drop is 2.5 front and 2.25 back. I am happy with the way they look on 17's. No gap anymore and the fender does not cover the tire. I am panning on buying Koni special springs to get better dampening. I didnt buy the springs for this car, my broinlaw did while he owned it. Dropzone springs do seem awful cheap considering I paid almost like 340 for the H&R's for my supra if my memory serves me, or was it 240? Anyone have anything bad to say about dsropzone springs since we are on the subject? Anyway, I am still new to this Civic stuff.
