Hey guys i made another thread for my dohc zc build but i put that aside ( for now ) because i found a very good deal on a 96 LS ( org. automatic ) and a em1 b16 tranny out of a 40k mile 2000 si ( WOW :P ) . We cracked both up to check internals and transmission looks brand new ( not surprising ) and the LS is also in very good cond. other than serp. belt and some serious oil caked on it . Well long story short i'll be swapping both over to my 94 DX coupe . Allready very excited :D Here are some pics of my project.

Im not really sure what to expect from this setup hopefully it wont feel much slower than my I/H/E GSR .

More or less, Integras are pigs.
Haha i hear ya ! If people are right and b series drivetrain is only 100 pounds heavier, than i should be at least 300 pounds lighter ( 2230+100 vs 2667 )almost 340 pounds hha thats like 2 more people riding with you all the time :P

Or one REALLY fat girl.
HAHA! True. Ay fat chicks need love too. ( not by me though :P )

Ok well i decided to do some preventative maintanence before i drop this motor in and here is what i got so far .

Transmission
Exedy OEM clutch kit , Fidanza Flywheel ( Motor was auto so why get oem fw when i can upgrade )

Engine
Spark plugs / Wires ( Bosch / NGK ) , Headgasket ( Fel Pro ) , Timing Belt / Water pump ( oem ofc )

Chassis
Hyperflex Bushing Kit .. Leftover from my teggy never had chance to install ( Will install some and some with coilovers later ) , Tires and brake pads

Also other fluids like tranny fluid ( honda mtf ) , engine oil ( mobil 1 synth ) , coolant , clutch fluid , brake fluid

Anything else i should do before i drop it in or this should be sufficient , i really like doing things right ONCE and have a peace of mind.

You'll notice a little difference with the LS motor over the D-series. Definitely more peppy. Would I say fast, no, but the difference is surely noticeable.

I actually used Synchromesh instead of Honda MTF.
What about shift linkage, axles, half shaft, ECU, etc? Also, I know with EK's you need a T bracket off a 99-00 Si. Not sure about an EG though.

Oh , i got everything ( well almost everything ) i needed for the actual swap. These items I listed are for maintanence purposes since its easier to do all these when the engine is out of the car. I have a PR4 ecu that i hope wont cause me trouble until i go turbo in a month or two. And for the comparison , I never actually drove a D series car , what i was asking was compared to my GSR that i had. For EG you need an integra bracket.

the car is going to be pretty close to your GSR due to power to weight. Probably slightly slower than the GSR though

Hmm , ok . Thats no problem , im not thinking about leaving it stock anyways . Ill most likely do a low boost turbo setup if everything goes well and i sell my truck . Than lots of suspension and handling parts along with a goautoworks turbo kit or maybe ill piece my own. I heard you can get around 300 horses out of a stock LS reliably , ( with arp headstuds ) im gonna aim for 250 to wheels .

Some new parts arrived today , fidanza flywheel , exedy oem clutch kit , almost got everything i need for swap , just need timing belt , water pump , headgasket and few miscellaneous pieces like seals and bolts and nuts ... If everything goes well motor will be in the car by next weekend.
