Lug nut problems.

I have a set of 17" rims on my civic. It has the locking lug nuts that need a special key to remove. I have the key but I'm missing a lug but on the front. I need to get one on ASAP. I bought one from autozone but it's too thick. I need a thin lug but because the one I got wont fit on the rim cause the center cap is too close. Any ideas where I can get 1 lug nut? Doesn't have to be locking. It has to be open ended though cause I have extended wheel studs. Please help!

you do know . that the open ended and closed end lug nuts are the same . it's just a cap over the end of the lug nut. they pop off or you can punch a hole in the top and it will make it a open end lug .

I'm not worried about finding a open ended lug nut. It's finding one that I can fit on the stud. I bought an open ended one and it was just too big. I couldn't fit a socket around it because the center cap was too close and you can't even tighten the lug nut down because the center cap stops it. I have those locking ones on thee and they work perfect but I can't find any of them around or online that are the same thing. I need to find something and I cant

Based on all the problems you're having with this car, it sounds like you didn't know what you were getting into and didn't check it out well enough.
You should have passed on it and saved your money.

take one of the existing "thin lugs" to NAPA or pepboys and have them help you match it... as long as the taper, thread spacing and length are the same you can knock the cap off the lug and there you have an open end...
