Main relay questions

Hey guys i have some questions i cant find answers for

My car died on the i125 hwy and two hours later i got it running by cutting wires out of my stereo and running a ground to main relay ground.

my questions are where is the main relay supposed to ground?

Is grounding the relay myself going to
cause more issues (ide rather fix the first issue).

Is the relay suposed to be fairly warm, almost hot? I kno coils in the relay will get warm but this might be getting to warm

Thanks guys

Ooohhh, main relay issues SUCK! According to the Electrical Troubleshooting Guide, the main relay's ground is G101 (the ground on the thermostat housing in the engine bay). Seems the ECU grounds there as well.
