makita is a good brand. how much did you pay for it? and just dont get too happy w it. some bolts still need to be tightened by hand.

a mechanic stripped my VC bolt w makita impact just like that one.

just need the impact to do brake job and stuff, nothing major.

pay 100 and my cousin pay the rest lol

that is one dumb ass mechanic because i bet he was using a 12pt socket instead of 6pt.

a 14.4 volt driver won't be doing much for you. Believe me. You'll be returning it. If it can't take your lug nuts off, its not gonna do jack for any other bolts and nuts. Seriously... you'll see.

Now the snap-on cordless impacts are where its at.

1/4" drive isn't gonna do too much for you. Most sockets you're gonna use are going to be 3/8" drive.

the retaining nut for to hold the axle to the hub on mine was a pain. i ended up using a 1" impact gun on it. the rest a good 1/2" impact would be perfect.

I have the Snap-On 18volt 1/2inch drive and it kicks ass.
Though its $500 from the tool truck.

yea as far as an impact drill..... anything in a 1/2" will do you good... anything lower is really.... just for getting screws out. it wont do s**t for your suspension.

like said before..... if the impact you get... cant take the lug nuts off.... then its not powerful enough to do anything else suspension wise on the car.

i have a 1/2" impact gun but its air driven.... there isnt a bolt on the car that wont come off with that thing....unless i physically cant get the gun in there... it takes the axel nuts off, crank pulley bolt, really. anything. i wont use anything less
