well my first car was a 89 mustang 2.3 back in feb, only lasted me 6 months.
then i drove my moms expedition who she left to me (she passed away :/ )
i deliver pizza for pizza hut and i had been looking for a civic for the longest. litterally texted 400 people trying to trade for a civic. finally yesterday i got one
its a 95 civic dx (i think its a dx, it has manual windos and mirrors locks)
my expo was a 99 and had 235,xxx miles
the civic is a 95 all stock stickshift 131,xxx miles 4 door and i love driving it =) freaking awesome.
got a few questions though
can i get an alarm with an unlock and lock button for my car?
my car locks when i turn it on and unclocks when i turn off, i would like to lock it when im out my car.
any advice?

So you said it has manual locks, but it locks when you start it? Please clarify.

I'm not much help if you are looking for a DIY alarm, but my car has a Viper system and its pretty good for just the basics. I have added a few of my own security measures. A Viper system or the equivalent will run a few hundred bucks probably.

well i think theyre manual cause i have to lock them myself.
like say i wanna drive to the store. i get in my car turn on my car and the car locks by itself, i get to the store and turn off my car it unlocks. then i have to lock all my doors by hand before going in the store so no one steals it.
i wanna be able to unlock and lock with a button if its possible and low price.

also what is the best springs for a 4 door dx?
i dont want to low since i drive a lot of city but i want a nice stiff smooth ride

So there is no lock/unlock button on the dooe panel? Sounds like you have power locks, but maybe pics of the interior would help. They wouldn't do that if it was manual.

I have a viper 2way system as well. It ran me $230 new on amazon.

But the locking/unlocking doesn't happen with manual locks, at least mine doesn't haha

One of my wife's cars does that. I like it. Makes things easy and you never have to mess with the door locks ever. Stick the key in the key hole on the outside of the door. One turn to unlock your door, two turns and it will unlock every door. With locking though, one turn to the lock position (again, outside the car) and all the doors lock at the same time. It's really handy when it's cold outside with a full load of passengers and your key fob has a dead battery.

Sounded to me like he didn't understand the difference between manual and automatic locks. Besides that, the fact that it autolocks with the ignition on or off makes me think it may work. That's how my wifes car works. ... Just throwing it out there.

Oh ok so its half manual, half power? ;)

This will solve this issue. If you have this VV then you have power locks, if not then you don't.
