Manual Cluster issues

i have a gsr swapped eg, the cluster doesnt have a tach on it and non working speedo. a few months ago i borrowed a friends cluster (with tach and working speedo), plugged it in and went for a drive (speedo worked but no tach). for some reason in my mind i am remembering that there was an extra plug on my friends clusters (tach??) that i had nothing to plug in to. so i guess im trying to figure out if my car just doesnt have the plug behind the cluster for a tach, or was my friends cluster broken? or am i just completely wrong? any insight would be greatly appreciated

yes i do have a blue wire in that spot. is there a way i can test to see if this wire is getting rpm signal? does this wire go to my ecu?

yes, that is what i am using right now. just an aftermarket tach, connected to the blue wire under the hood by the drivers door. it has proper signal from the wire under the hood.

No I did not get signal when I tapped into the wire behind cluster
