Manual Gauge Cluster in Automatic

Im try to sell my manual EX gauge cluster to someone with an automatic DX. He's worried that because the automatic cluster has P-R-D-1-2 in the gauge cluster that the manual will not work. Will it fit and work proprerly?

im pretty sure it would work. aslong as they are the same gen civic. like a 5gen cluster wouldn't plug right into a 6th gen civic and vice versa. i know that an automatic cluster in a manual car will work.

yes it will work, he just wont have the auto tree, which doesnt matter anyways

everything behind the dash is plug and play...
why the japanese didn't put a tach in the dx, even though the plugs are there... is beyond me...
