maybe a timing question on a 2000 civic si

ok well i just swapped blocks over on my 00 si..and i have everything hooked up and it starts..but when i press the clutch in and let the rpms drop the car dies instantly..but only when i am moving..if i start the car and idle and just rev the engine it wont die. only when persay i am coming up to a stop sign and coast to it holdin the clutch it will die.or when i shift from reverse to first it will die..unless i hold down the clutch and rev it...i have talked to some buddies and some say its the map sensor and tps sensor...others say since i set my engine at TDC it runs to rich and doesnt burn all the gas and they say i need to redo timing and set it a lil advanced....im not sure on how to set it advanced..so i was wondering what do you guys think the prob is or what spec you could give me on what degree to set timing to and how to do it?any help is thankful
