megan muffler with custom exhaust

First off I have a 2000 honda civic dx coupe, and yonaka doesnt make a cat back for my model so that is basically out. What are some of your thoughts on the approach for getting a megan racing (or something similar in price) and custom piping? Has anyone done this before and if so what was the price of the total install with piping, welding, and labor?

I have the 99 sedan dx-vp and I originally switched to a stock 97 sedan ex exhaust due to it being a inline cat and not a header/cat. Then got a 4-2-1 header and high flow cat off of ebay and a 3A Racing muffler from autozone.

But there should be a full exhaust system available for the ex or Si that you could get

i did the megan mgt with a custom pipe 2in and a qtr. with a megan test pipe ($67) and megan 4-2-1 ($180) headers. in my opinion it is a very good sound not obnoxiously loud and has a deep tone.. i only spent about 300 parts and install. the exhaust well my ex girlfriend gave it to me for xmas but it was around $110 at the tuner shop she bought it at.

Would I need a new test pipe or cat? Could I keep my stock cat and just have a muffler shop make me a pipe and then weld on the muffler? Anyone know how much it would cost to just have a cat back fabricated and muffler welded on? thanks

u could keep ur stock cat on. the pipe would just be welded onto the cat i believe. i went with a new test pipe since its smaller than my original cat. and as for price range i couldnt tell you. different shops charge for labor. i got it at discount since the tuner shop and the mechanic shop have some sort of a deal together.
