Whats Up! I ordered a d16z6 (supposedly), but when I got it the engine code was scratched off, so I can't tell what it is by that. When I was swaping all of the parts off the d16a6 I had in my civic, the crank pulley did not bolt up. I was told by 2 different people today that they should but they don't. I was also told that if it is a d16z6 it should have p28 on the head and thats it. The head on my motor says P08. I wouldn't have bought with the engine code scratched off but I ordered it and I didn't know. It is a vtec, but I am told that P08 means that it is a 1.5 someone please let me know if that is true cuas' I sure hope I didn't get screwed. The crank on the ?d16z6? is bigger than the one on the a6 I was wondering why is that, because I was told that the sohc d motors should have no bigger crank than the d16a6 I already had in there.

well the p28 is a computer... and does you motor have a valve or little cylender on the top left corner of the head. it is attatched below the valve cover. post a pic

PO8 is the right ECU and came from a 92-95 Si, so it is a D16Z6...as for the crank pulley not bolting up I couldnt tell you without looking at it.

Thanks for your help but I found out that it was a JDM d15b vtec out of a civic vti(almost identical to a d16z6). That guy that I got it from tought I would like it and remembered my order but I didn't so I sent it back and he supposed to send me a d16z6. The reason I wanted the z6 is because it can handle more boost then the d15b.
