What people don't get is, like a civic this car wasn't designed for gobs of power, it's designed to be well balanced/fun and still pretty economical.

This use to be my miata until I had some shodie work done and the 1.8 blew up. Now it has a 302 and should be on the road soon. 2200 lbs and 325 ft-lbs.

How did you shoehorn a 302 in the engine bay? Custom exhaust manifolds?

I didn't do it but it's quite a common swap called a monster miata. But the guy who bought the shell off me does a fully custom exhaust. He pretty much does all the fab for it like cutting thru the firewall and mounting it

Interesting. I hadn't seen that before, so I was wondering. Had a 302 in a 65 Ford Fairlane and the stock exhaust manifold was close on the shock towers for that. You could fit a fricking couch in the engine bay on that car.
