mids cutt off..

im running polk momo 6x9 in the back and some kickers n the front witch it hooked up to a 4 ch soundstream Rubbicon amp. now when i turn it up the radio around 40 the amp to my mids cutt off it goes in protection mode but my other amp to my subs are still hitting.when i turn it down the mids come back on. what did i do wrong?

probably a fried speaker...unhook one speaker at a time and try the volume...alternate speakers...then alternate amp configs...you should be able to determine where the problem is then...if its going in to protection mode it leads me to believe its on the out put part of the amp...i am sure you already checked all connections RCA and power...

i already fixed it for him he was overpowering it
