Hey guys/girls, I recently purchased a 2000 Honda Civic Ex. I think this is a HUGE step-up from my previous car, which was an Integra DB7 that as all rice. I'm a Clubintegra member, but I should give this site a chance, considering I bought a Honda lol.

The car is far from perfect, but I will do my best to make it just the way I like my cars: clean and simple. There are so many little imperfections, but with time and money, the car will be looking clean.

Now here are the specs:

2000 Honda Civic EX EJ8 with 95,XXX miles. 5 speed. I bought it for $3000. It was initially $4000, but with all these little problems, he managed to go down $1000.

Engine:
Short ram intake (forgot the brand, will check later)
No name strut bar
Greddy Evo 2 exhaust

Exterior:
Nice red paint
Window Visors
Rear window visor
"JDM" stickers
Red HONDA badge
Si grille
Si front lip
Si rear lip
Yellow foglights

Interior:
Red Tenzo R racing seats
Red dyed rear seats
Fake Carbon Fiber Trim
Pioneer tv/dvd indash

Suspension:
Stock shocks
Tokico springs

Wheels/Tires
Aftermarket Wheels (Dont know name)
Tires (Will check later)

I probably missing more stuff. Here are my plans:
Remove rear seat dye
Remove CF interior trim
EX cluster (I never asked the PO why he didn't have an ex cluster cause I didn't know much about civics)
Remove stickers
Stock springs, then coilovers later
Quick release w/ steering wheel

I am only 17, so I'm on a budget, but I never want to put ebay crap on my car.

Now for the pics:

This was my previous car lol. Hate all you want. I bought it like that, with plans on de-ricing it, but I decided to sell it.

Old pic:

Hope you guys enjoy and please comment!! :D

Glad to know there's another 17 year old here!
Now make us happy and do the following:
1) Remove all stickers and badges that are unnecessary
2) Change those seats, there are bolt-on options, check my DIY/FAQ thread for said options.
3) Like you said, un-dye the rear seats, or get front red Recaro's hah!
4) Those cherry floor mats need to go
5) Cluster swap options are also listed in my DIY/FAQ thread

I can't find what wheels those are, they look like Work Emotion CR Kais / Rota Torque / Drag DR-31 but aren't!
Good luck, please show progress ASAP! Make the car yours immediately!

Welcome! Overall, you got a pretty nice car for 3 grand.

I agree with CO671 about getting rid of all the interior red pieces and removing the stickers. Also, if it were me, I'd paint the mesh of the grill black, like it would have come from the factory. Otherwise, you got a pretty clean platform.

Oh, and you have the "Type R" style lip, which is a replica of the Si lip. It's got bigger flares than the Si, if you were to look at them side by side. Here is the the real Si lip (taken from Stowers74 build thread)

Good luck!

Removing stickers are a must as well as the cherry floor mats. But I'm keeping the tenzo R seats. And I still don't know what kind of wheels they are. I wanna know haha.

I'm gonna take out all the red except the seats. And the mesh is already painted black.

I forgot to mention the car only starts by push-starting it. My dad said that the starter needed to be replaced, so I picked one up and will be installing today, maybe.

Couldve just checked and cleaned the terminals or rebuilt the starter to save you money.
Ballin on a high school budget is hard but looks like you got funds o-o

it's probably the starter.. or alternator, it could be not charging the battery enough to start the car.. could be a lot of things actually, which sucks lol

I save up all my money. My parents don't help me at all. And for the starter, I prefer to get a new one instead of reusing the old one.

The alternator and battery are both fine. My dad's a mechanic, and he said that it was the starter.

What's up man, sick car! You definitely need to throw out those cute cherry mats though. And get rid of the stickers and dye the back seats. But besides that, looks good.
