Mini me swap question

I have a very simple question, I am considering doing an a6 with a y8 head but was told that mini me swaps aren't reliable for long distance travel. I've googled it to death but haven't found anything about the reliability of these swaps, can anyone clarify from experience. Also any advice on which direction to go with this a6 to get more pep and maintain some reliability would be greatly appreciated.

as long as its done right its fine. who told you that they were reliable (for any reason)? Do they have any personal experience or reasoning behind it?

now, if you decide to keep the a6 LS, a6's are great for boost. The motors are super tough. so that is always an option

^ this if any build is done correctly without cutting any corners then it should be reliable. might not be cheap, but it will be reliable.
