Ok, I want to start off by saying when I mean Yenko, I do not mean an Original 69 SYC Yenko 427 super car. I mean a 1969 Chevy Camaro X-11, or SS.
This car has been an ongoing project for me for a long time now, It is going to be a Yenko Camaro clone, it will be built to exact specs on the interior and exterior, the block, is a REAL, Yenko block, it cost me an arm and a leg, but I got the block, heads, intakemanifold, crank, pan etc. Not the major parts, but a few parts. I have worked on it on and off, the interior as of today, is complete, finally, it is black, I did all that work, by myself, I had help on and off from a few friends however, the rear bumper, lights, trunk installed, trunk lid installed, spoiler installed etc has all been done. It needs more work, but here is a photo of what it looked like when I recieved it. That Fiber Glass Cowl induction hood didnt come with the car, I installed it for the photo.
This is the Camaro when I recieved it, in the garage.
This is the M-21 4 speed transmission that I am going to installed in her
The Rally Sport... the 11 second Camaro...
When I recieved it, the car looked like this, it was a darker green, and had rust holes, you can see the parts of the fender and quarter panel that where removed (rust) and where soon repalced.
After the work was done...
Notice the 2inc exhast, and the 10 bolt, that was before I built it up, this was when it was getting preped for paint
After we had it primered we had her painted... there we go, paint that b***h! take it! take it!
Then, we did not build it up right away, it had a 327 in it, and it lived with the 427 for a year or more. See my 69 Z next to it...
Want more of the Orange Z-28?
This is under the hood, cant see s**t can you LOL
This is the Blue Z-28, this is not ours anymore, this is documented, as the most low mileage, original, and historical Z-28 in the world. It had 34 original miles. Not 34,000 miles, 34 miles. It is a survivor. The paint, interior all that you are seeing is ORIGINAL. It was a 100+ point show car, the onlything not original where the tires. The brakes lines and brakes where original. It had every paper with it, everything, it was fully documented. Every hose under the hood orignal, I cannot stress how original this car was, literly the onlything not original where the fluids, gas, and tires haha. I wish we still had it. It sold to a collector, lets just say he is in SOCAL with us and he is on TV and collects cars.. enough said. The car was sold to him for $90,000... Well worth it for the worlds most original and documented 69 Z-28.
Before we had the car, it was in a Climate contorled Garage for over 20+ years. Dad paid 65,000 for it. He drove it once time and put 5 of the 34 miles on it, and I put on 3. My dad would keep this in, I s**t you not a car bubble... I think you know the kind I am talking about. with the black compressor... this was his baby.
Cleaning it up a little. that is the Yenko clone under it, ready to take off the sub frame.
And as if the grage could get any better...
That is dads SS, now notice that yellow 69 Camaro? Well it has NO VIN :-( however, it does have 12 bolt posi with 4.10 gears, manual transmission, looked like i had a big block 427 at one time in it, no PS, no PB, no frills no AC, etc. Front chin spoiler and rear spoiler. Repainted back in the 90's Yellow. Needs work. However, when we paid the $23,000 for it (i know it was alot) we had a good reason for doing so.
What cars came from the factory with a 427? 4.10 posi 12 bolt, no PS, no PB, no AC, manula trans, front and rear spoiler? this MIGHT be a COPO Camaro. We dont know yet, we have not looked into decoding the cowl tags because we have other things to do, we are kinda bussy. So If this car is a COPO... Everything we are doing would be put on hold to restore it, because only 52 COPO's where ever made, and they are worth well over $200,000 if it is in good shape... so lets hope...
