Hello to all guys!! S.o.s. I need your help. I have a 98 civic hatch d14 and I swapped it to b18c, i putted all parts and fuses of loom correctly and here is the problem, when I turn the key the check engine light doesnt Work for 2-3 seconds as it should, it doesn't flash at all and the fuel pump doesn't work too! I checked all grounds and the main relay, I wonder why I have power until the relay but the relay doesn't send signal to fuel pump!! Please help ( these are the parts I putted, b18c engine, Ek ond2b loom with red adaptor to p28 ecu)

Im going to assume you have double checked the pinouts to make sure none of the wires need to be repinned/moved on the harness. Im also assuming the fuel pump worked fine before the swap so we know it works correct? Next, I do not have experience with this however I'm assuming you could use a multimeter to troubleshoot this.

Turn the key to the on position so it tries to prime the fuel pump. See if you read any signal on the connector that plugs into the fuel pump. If no signal then maybe try a continuity test from the plug to the pin on the other end of the harness to see if you have a short somewhere. If you have continuity then do the same test on the fuel pump pin(s) of the d2b adapter harness. Doing this you should be able to isolate which harness is not passing signal then you can check it to see if a pin is bent, broken, not seated in all the way, etc.

There are probably other things to check and ways to troubleshoot this. If so someone else with more experience can chime in but i figured I would toss this out there in the meantime in case it helps you at all.

Are you using the corresponding ECU for the engine?

By the way, I changed your title to be pertinent to your issue so you get helpful responses. This forum generally doesnt pay much attention to the "help" cryers because usually theyre whining about sonething simple or stupid. Simple & to the point is your best bet in the future. Good luck.

Check the fuel pump fuse under the hood it should be a 15. Top left corner I believe.

Is your car OBD2A? Usually 96-98 Civics are OBD2A but since your'e from Greece, I could be wrong due to difference in region requirements.

Continuing on, it looks like you are using an OBD2B engine harness instead of an OBD2A engine harness? If so, that is your problem right there, OBD2A and OBD2B engine harness is NOT interchangeable and you will require the correct engine harness (OBD2A).
