Mounting Amp to Back Seat Help

I'm about to mount the amp to the back of the seat (1998 Civic Coupe) but am curious on how to do it. I peeled back some carpetting and there are some metal brackets, but they don't match up with where my amp screwholes are.
Someone on a post said something about putting some wood between the carpet and seat but I'm not sure how to secure the wood.
Any other suggestions or put simply, how did you guys do it? If you have pictures, please include them or provide a link. Thanks

wouldnt you just screw the piece of wood into the metal brackets in the seat and then mount the amp on the wood?

You'll need:

small piece of plywood
sheet metal screws a little longer than the plywood
trusty Makita (or DeFault, or Black and Decker, or Bosch...whatever)

Lift carpet, line up plywood where amp is to go, run sheetmetal screws through where metal is behind plywood.

Done

I just screwed mine into the metal. I got lucky and it hasn't fallen off yet.

Yup, you'd need to do that.
