Basically, I'd like to know what you guys think about the angle I should mount my subwoofers in the enclosures.

Vertical:

Leaned Forward:

Leaned Backward:

As of right now, I'm more inclined to vertical. What do y'all think?

:werd: I really see no difference whatsoever. Maybe you should host the, y'know, different pictures instead of 3 sets of the same.

I guess I won't use a tripod to take pictures anymore... there are no identical pictures. If you guys can't figure that out... then well, thanks for your input.

I decided rather quickly on vertical, and I think I'll stick to that. Thanks for the responses guys.

I just gotta paint these suckers now. Thinking VHT grey wrinkle, try to match the interior closely. I don't want to carpet them. Any other ideas on that?

if you are thinking of painting those you have a lot more finishing work to be done. They will horrible painted as they stand now
just my opinion, but I would carpet them now
or throw alot of bondo on those and smooth them out

I know they're not actually identical(only because the logos are in different places on the pics). Just meant that I couldn't tell a difference whatsoever. Probably just me(well, and that other guy too).

Anyways, good luck with the painting.

none of your choices imho, the best sound you will get will be w/ them up against the seat facing the rear of the car because it will use that space to rebound it back into the car giving you a better bass note

That's how my original enclosure was built. However, there's a big stinky tower bar there now. I tried everything I could think of to make it so there's enough volume and space to mount the subwoofer behind, below, above, and all around the bar. Basically, nothing was going to work, and if it did work, it would not be removable without removing the bar at the same time, which means removing suspension nuts.

I settled on this after a few weeks of trying to figure something out. And after 3 months of glassing and questioning how they were going to sound firing opposite with about a 10 degree recline... trunk does rattle more on harder notes... but overall I'm pleased with how they sound compared to the two rear-ward firing subs.
