MR 2000 Civic EX

CONSTRUCTIVE criticism GREATLY appreciated, nuttin like "riced out", really don't care. I'm goin for the all around carbon fiber detailing...hood, taillights, front lip, interior. The wing I love, wouldn't get nuttin else, just want to mold everything onto the car, make it look as one. Upgrading all internals and turbo to come much later down the road. I'm not looking to burn no one off the line or nuttin with this car (1.my luck I'd crash and never have the $$ to fix it, 2.I'm a cop now and that would look "wicked" good if I got caught drag racing, being that I'm still w/in my probationary period, 3.It's an automatic D16, come on now, lol). I just want some respectable speed. Racing rides later down the road (lookin for an 87 Buick GNX, Mustang Saleen, or maybe a Twin Turbo Supra).

the chrome is ubergehy....lose it. if you are going for carbon fiber whatever...get some black wheels. paint your car black too..itll look cleaner. get rid of the 18's get at most 17's. the wing is too big....if you , again, want the carbon fiber thing...get a carbon fiber wing!! if you want to get a new car, stop spending your money on this car...

damn there's some IGNORANT mofo's around here, lmao. can anyone read? i asked for constructive criticism, none of this "riced out" shite. i really could care less, i'm lookin more along the lines of ideas on how to gain speed and horsepower. frickin goofballs, no shite my car isn't fast, already explained this one. the 18's ARE off for the winter. i'm not selling the car, i'm not swapping the engine. i said eventually i am getting ANOTHER car when i have the cash.

oh yea dont' forget ot get exhaust i like the JDM slant look so i'ld go with 5Zigen or N1 but i heard from CC that GReddy EVo's are nice too. yea thoes are soem smiple stuffs you can do to improve some hp... if you got real ca$h to spend dump that SOHC engine and swap... b16a or better b18c5 =] and still got money left turbo it ... sell that SOHC engine u prob can get good price
Rims look dope looks nice but i'd drop an inch or so. get mugen or type-r front lip i blieve type-r one flares out more. & yea lose the wing prob giving you more weigh.

BUT** either way it's your car no matter what other foo says it's yours whaevea looks good on you all matters, but honestly i'd lose the wing..

Not trying to bash. I just have some questions. If this car is just your cruisin' car, why don't you save the performance parts (and thus the $$$) for your racer? What do you have against an engine/transmission swap? That's about the best way to go about it if you're looking for power, so I don't understand why you want to keep your SOHC instead of going DOHC. Again, I'm just confused about what you're going for exactly.

And try not to think that you look cool next to that car

by no means am i trying to make this a racer, i was thinking about it, but end up blowin way too much cash on that. i'm just looking to gain some small power, nuttin to blow anyone off the line. nobody is being any real help at all, everyone too concerned with how the car looks on the outside and not whats goin on inside. as i stated in another post, if i'm looking to get a racer, then down the road i'm going to pick up AS WELL AS THE CIVIC, maybe a mustang saleen, 87 buick GNX, or maybe a twin turbo supra, but i'm not looking to make the civic a racer. the mods i've put on so far, have ALL been very cheap for me to find. i would definitly not pay full price for those, i've gotten INCREDIBLE deals on all the parts that i have thus far, hence why i am NOT going to get rid of any of them. have all the opinions you want, but i am looking for help, what to ADD or CHANGE, not drop. the wing is never going, the tezzas aren't going (i'm still wondering where in HELL the history of hating those taillights came from), and the rims ARE GONE FOR THE WINTER!!! SO...simple ideas for small gains w/out goin all turbo or changing the motor.
