MSD Cap and rotor

How else do you plan on getting spark to the cap. I dont know much about MSD systems but I know that much.

why not? there cheap as hell, and dosent have to be MSD, accel makes them also.

In other words, Yes you need one because you can not use the internal coil that civic's have.

yeah, when they make those they remove the part that contacts teh orginal coil to the rotor, ther eis a metalstrip that goes through the raised part on the cap. and usually on a stock cap there is a ctact kinda on a spring that comes incontact with teh coil

Which coil exactly should i buy for the type R, i know there is different ones, but whats the difference in them all?

i have a similar set up and i use the HVC external coil it a little more stroner that the usual set but i had it for a couple of years now with no problems

here is some choices
1.

this is just a basic blaster coil.

2.

this is a little more power in spark a lot of people use this type of coil .

3.

this is stepping up a little more and put a lot more voltage into you wires and plugs, this is what i use


i have in my set up msd 8.5 wires, msd HVC external coil, msd extreme dist cap and rotor, msd 6al with rev limiter with NGK plugs and have no problems what so ever.

some people say you dont rearly need any ignition set up cause the stock one holds a decient amount of power from stock.
