What the size of the pipe/tube (whatever u call it) of a stock 98 civic? is it 2.00" or 2.5" ?
Also what good muffler fits it? its a offset/center.
I'm looking for a deep sound for less than $100.

If I replace my 95 civic's piping with 2.5" piping do you guys think it will make a big difference in sound and performance? If not, what size would you recommend? I don't want ricey sounding exhaust, my muffler is magnaflow so it shouldnt really be a problem, I'm just curious. I also don't have to worry about emmisions because I live in canada but i don't want it too loud b/c of the po pos

Get 2 1/4" piping. Anything above that is overkill IMO. My piping is way too large on my Apexi WS but I am going turbo soon so that will change. My OBX muffler sounded awesome - if you use the stock piping you have to weld an extension piece on. Make that piece 2 1/4"

I wouldnt go any bigger than 2 1/4 inch because you start to lose back pressure and that will hurt horse power
