when you got the Mugen Replica lip home, did yall do any cutting to make it fit?

Just got mine this morning, went and try to put it on and it the lip for some reason didnt even reach from left side to the right side of the bumper. Is this normal and how did you got it to stretch all the way around so it could be bolt down.

Im about to email the the ebay guy I bought it from and tell him the lip doesnt fit and maybe he sent the wrong years.

I know on my type r replica poly lip it barely fit I had a small gap in the corner of the driver side I just bolted one side on and then held the other as close as I could to do that one. still had a small gap but no where near as bad as first fit. I was thinking maybe take a razor to the inside and trimming it to fit thin it out a little.

Mine fit fine. You might have to "stretch" it a bit and put the screws into each side but...it should fit. What year civic do you have?

it a 99 dont know why it could fit, I mean it doesnt even stretch all the way around from one side to another.

Well this is what I did, I bolt down one side and try to stretch the other side out all long as possible, and there still like 3-4 inch more to reach the end of the bumper. that just suck! ass! big time!.

ABS or Poly? I hope u bought the lip for 99-00. u don't have to bolt it down since the top part can hang on the bumper (only bolt 1 screw on each side & it's just fine)

yeah bought it 99, and yes I try putting the lip on and let it hang from the middle and bolt both side down

one side would fit but the other one still need to stretch a bit more to reach. it said POLY when i got it.

i got mine from nana outpost (ebay). I don't know 'bout others. He could send u the 96-98 one like u said.

Have someone hold it from the center and little by little stretch the side.
Thats what I did and it worked fine.

hahahaha! got em! but yeah i think he send me the wrong year.

I ended up cut the end of the lip and just bolt them down on the side.Side angle look bad but front still look clean, Look like is fit perfectly!

Put the center of the lip on the bumper first... so the sides are hanging down, then slide both sides up and then bolt it in.

Mine fits fine. It's ever so slightly too small. I hooked the middle on, then one side, then had to pull on the lip / bumper a bit to stretch it and get the other side to fit. But it fits fine when all settled .

yeah I did that and both side couldnt reach all the way. I you put one side on, they other one is like 3inch off so there no way you can have both side on perfectly, i doubt he send me the right one. But I just ended up cutting them and just bolt them down on the side look really bad but from the front angle it look like it hook on perfectly so Im ok with it.

im sure it looks good from the front, but i woulda sent it back since it was the sellers mistake...unless you planning on not keeping this lip that long.

yeah i might, but i cut both end of the lip where the two bolt supose to be screw on.
